portable monitor project
Hello! Just received all the bits to follow this tutorial: https://learn.adafruit.com/portable-5in ... -with-hdmi. I'm really new at all this, but my son and I managed all the soldering and have a good power connection. And it seems like the video is connected properly, but when i connect it to a source, the monitor just displays a series of lines. This happens with the extension ribbon cable and connecting the display directly to the driver board. Any help or advice appreciated!

Can you post some pictures of the connections between the parts and your soldering? It will help. A picture of the display with the lines would also help. What are you using for the input signal and do you have the display on or off when you connect the source?

So, i completely missed this https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-tfp ... -pi-config! Sorry, my inexperience is showing through and it took me ages to see the obvious. With the edited config file on the SD card, all is well! Thanks for the prompt reply, really do appreciate it.
