Hi,
Did use yr image in jessie, and later in stretch, but in both XY axes are inverted. (move right on screen, cursor goes up.... )
Unable to recover, also not after calibration. PiTFT HX8357D on Raspi 2 and 3 - stretch latest.
Removed TFT and adafruit TFT support for the time being; will need the screen with touch though. When do you expect to update things?
Noticed lots of questions about the axes inversion not being recoverable on the net btw.
Rgds Bob
Actually since I installed the screen originally using the Adafruit website, I initially used: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... sy-install
Which is for 3.5 PiTFT, the model I have.
I than tried the DIY, the fully manual etc etc. Finally I even tried a generic one, which was almost identical to the Adafruit 2.8 setup and calibration your link points at. No deal.
After the sizeable Jessie update the touchscreen axes swapped and inverted and are irreparable since. Same for the latest Stretch.
Has this been resolved for Stretch yet? I do not know how to 'drop back to Jessie' without starting from scratch and the Pi I am using has a rather complex install process to try to start again. I was hoping to just drop your TFT #2441 onto my Pi as a status and control display.
Hi Chrisham, not to my knowledge... Later update/grade did not change a thing and for the PI-TFT35 there is still the old software. I couldn't find anything more recent then mid 2016. So, alas........
Well, as a screen (without touch) it is good quality and also useful, but indeed....
Watch it though, it is not that heavy, you might loose some leaves...;)
Install the firm/soft-ware from adafruit using the 'manual' method.
If that does not work, install an extremely lean Jessie, install ada fruit as explained on the website about the PiTFT and than upgrade to Stretch. Last is the lesser method but still.... https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... sy-install
Enjoy!
