Protecting a 2" TFT display from overcurrent

by cgspeck on Tue Oct 10, 2017 7:28 am

Hi all,

This is my first real electronics project and I am roughly following the concept in this instructable, which is to retrofit a vintage slide projector into a digital projector.

I am up to the part where I wire up the electronics, and it looks something like this:

The screen I'm using is the Adafruit 2" TFT Display.

The LED voltage booster I'm using is this "150W DC-DC 10-32V to 12-35V 6A" converter from ebay.

My question is, do I need to put anything additional in the circuit to protect the TFT screen from the current which will be drawn by the LED's voltage booster?

Thanks,

@adafruit, @adafruit_support_bil, or anyone, I'd really appreciate some guidance with this?
