Is the Mini Illuminated Momentary Pushbutton normally opened

by natinusala on Tue Oct 10, 2017 1:54 pm

Hello everyone,

I would like to use this product : https://www.adafruit.com/product/3105 with a ATXRaspi to use it as a on/off button for my Raspberry Pi. The ATXRaspi requires a momentary push button which is normally open. I can't see if the Mini Illuminated Momentary Pushbutton is normally open or closed, or is there both pins available ? Looking at the circuit, I'd say normally closed, but I'm not sure.

Thanks :)

(and sorry if it's not posted in the right forum, this button is a glowy thing after all)

Yes, it is normally open as shown in the circuit diagram.

I just realised, I thought it was open as open for the current to go through, and not open as the circuit is open so the current can not go through. Sorry for the silly question, and thanks for answering !
