Help With RA8875 (GFX library)

by Barzok on Mon Nov 27, 2017 6:05 pm

I am migrating one of my project from two 2.8 inches screens to a 7 inches screen. (http://www.instructables.com/id/Netatmo ... n-Station/)
I used ILI9341 + GFX libraries.
Now, I use RA8875 and GFX libraries.

It seems it does not work exactly the same.
The RA8875 (which I thought would be more powerfull shows limits.

For example, I cannot manage to rotate the screen. The tft.setRotation (xx) does not work.
Also, on the 2.8 screns, I was mixing graphics and texts (tft.drawLine and tft.print). Again, on the RA8875, it does not seems to work either.

Can you clearly tell me what is supported or not on the RA885 ? Or what am I doing wrong ?

I am new to this product. There is a requirement to build a commercialize system as a HMI device to another system. I am well familiar with C and never used arduino, since I only work with industrial solutions and R&D tasks.

I am going to purchase ER-TFTM070-5 from buydisplay.com which has TFT display module with RA8875 controller.
Which library can I use in C to work with this touch display?

I am usning a STM microcontroller for this task.
Please update.

lksafo1, you should contact the maker of the display you are purchasing and ask them. Our libraries are designed to work with our boards and are not supported on others.

hi, lksafo1. I'm also trying to use an STM32 controller to interface with RA8875. But I am having trouble transferring the libraries provided by Adafruit(which is in Arduino language) into my embedded c project for STM32. Do you have similar issues when coding the SPI transfer functions in STM? How did you solve it then?
