NeoPixel UV resistance

Hi - A few years ago we built a holiday light display consisting of RGB LED strips, laser projection, and a microcontroller to sync the color of the LEDs to the laser:

Well, it's now been up for 4 years, and the LED strips are starting to get really tired. They have UV faded so they are more yellow then white, lost about 40% of their original brightness, and they have become very brittle and prone to breaking and having issues (I just spent an hour on top of a ladder this week soldering in splices to fix a dead strip).

So for next year - I'm planning on fully replacing all the LEDs, and I want to move to addressable strips. I was thinking of redoing them all with the 60 LED/Meter neopixel strips - but I'm worried about the same problems. How does the weatherproof coating on these deal with staying out in the sun all day every day for years on end?

I'm still early in the planning stage - so any suggestions or other ideas would be really appreciated.
