TroubleShooting with RGBW stips

by qfgh on Fri Dec 08, 2017 11:31 am

Hello,

I work on a microcontroller by Microchip (PIC32MX) to control RGBW strip.
When I put 255 on blue component, the RGBW Strip displays an intensity blue-white . But when I put 255 on red or green or white component, the strip displays correctly the color.

Is this phenomenon found is normal?

The 4 LEDs on the chip are individually controllable. You should be able to control blue independently from white.

How to control blue indepently by white with my config:

T0H=355ns
T0L=2.238µs
T1H=613ns
T1L=2.399µs

I'm not familiar with the processor or code you are using. Our Neopixel library supports all of the Arduino and compatible processors.

Hello,

Is it possible to control only blue color without white color?
When I control blue, I have a blue-white color appear on RGBW Strip.

RGBW strips take 4 bytes per pixel. One each for red, green, blue and white. Each is independently controllable.

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
strip.setPixelColor(n, red, green, blue, white);

There's another phenomenon that might be happening. I've noticed it in my RGBW's.
