Daisy chain Neopixel Rings and Strips

Can I daisy chain Neopixel Rings (24 LED) with Neopixel Strips (144 LED)?

Yes. Just don't mix the RGB with the RGBW variety.

Also, the 144 strips are pretty power hungry. You will want to feed 5v & GND direct to both ends of the strip. Don't try to daisy-chain the power for the strip through the ring.

Awesome, thank you. If I have a 5v 5amp 25 watt power supply, is that enough for arduino micro, raspberry pi 3, 9 neopixel rings and two of the 144 light strips?

That depends on what you have attached to the Pi and how hard you drive the strips.

Displays and other peripherals can add significantly to the Pi's power requirements.

9 x 24 pixel rings and 2 x 144 pixel strips is 504 pixels. In theory, with all pixels at full intensity white, these could draw 30 amps or more (40 amps for the RGBW variety). In practice, most applications do not run them that hard.

This guide has some good advice on how to use power effectively with Neopixels: https://learn.adafruit.com/sipping-powe ... l#overview
