Electrical trouble with LEDs

Post by j_biscuit »

Hi there,

I've built an LED display which uses 2 transformers to power 2160 LEDs across 18 2 meter strips.
I'm pretty confident I've wired it up correctly but I'm getting weird glitches like the odd LED flashing different colours, lines flashing on and off randomly, etc.
The data is going through fine (for the most part) but there seems to be some kind of corruption or data loss intermittently.

Is there anything I can do to remove electrical noise or interference?

This is the precise setup I'm using:

You could add capacitors along the route and make sure you have a continuous and solid ground to everything.
