Adafruit 938 1.3" 128 X 64 OLED Display not working.

Post by w2rjr »

I purchased the Adafruit 938 1.3" OLED display and can not get it to work. I followed all documentation found on this site and it does not work. I have it connected to a Raspberry Pi P Zero which I have a 0.96" OLED screen that works perfectly. I wanted to use a larger display. I wired it as follows to the 40 pin GPIO on the Pi Zero: Gnd to Ground, pin # 9, Vin to pin #1 3.3 volts, Data to pin#3 SDA, Clk to pin # 7 SCL. I also read on the site to add a wire to Rst to pin# 24. I need to use it in I2C format so I shorted the 2 jumpers SJ1 and SJ2 in the back of the board. I even checked the Raspi-config file and made sure its set for I2C . I have seen others on here having problems getting this dispaly to work. Can anyone help or can I return it? I will attach a few photos. Thank you.

What program are you using to try and drive the display?

Try adding a little more solder to the pins on the display.

And be careful about the exposed bits of wire on the GPIO header. Make sure nothing is shorting there.
