16x2 RPi display question re access to pins

by edgreenberg on Tue Jan 08, 2019 12:09 pm

So I am looking at the very nice 16x2 display for the RPi. https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-16x ... spberry-pi

The specs state that this display board uses only the two I2C pins, which is great, since it leaves over almost all the GPIO. My concern is that all the assembly diagrams show the display board blocking all the other pins on the 26 pins that it uses.

How does one get access to these pins for actual GPIO usage?

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Ed Greenberg

Rather than using the headers supplied in the kit you could use stacking headers. Or you could stick this in the mix.
