Fat Fingered DotStar brightness to 1.2 and hit save - Now Do

by ransom40 on Tue Jan 08, 2019 9:39 pm

It blinks. A pattern of 7 blinks of the red and green led's, followed by 3 blinks of green and blue, then a solid green light for a second, and repeat.

Changing brightness value back does not seem to fix it?

This is on a Trinket M0 running Circuit Python.

Any way to reset the dotstar? Or is that chip toast?

No protection for setting the brightness too high I suppose?

Was not able to find any debug code information for the dotstars,

Thanks!

What code are you running and how do you have the Dotstars connected?

update: I am a noob and it was an indentation error, not the brightness setting, and the flashing led was just indicating a compile error.
Now have a decent editor with serial for debugging and everything is happy.
