by Jebb1 on Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:21 pm

apologies in advance as im a complete beginer to this stuff but my recently purchased LCD Shield Kit w/ 16x2 Character Display - Only 2 pins used! (BLUE AND
WHITE) will not turn on or light up when used with example code from the adafruit supplied library, however now errors pop up when uploading code to my metro 328. i have checked all the soldering and cannot fin any visible problem. and advice would be great.

Could you post larger pictures so we can see the connections more clearly and tell us what you are connecting it to and what code you are running?

Take a look at this Soldering Guide and reflow your solder joints then see if that helps.
