OLED SSD1305 128 x 32 pixel offset library issue?

by pigman8 on Sun May 19, 2019 10:17 am

There seems to be an issue with the adafruit SSD library. It starts offset to the left about 4 pixels.
Using Feather M0 Bootloader and i2C setup with OLED 128x32

Oh good it's not just me.. I have the same 4 lines on the right and my text is 1/2 showing. I am working on it today and the weekend as I am stuck with this screen now and MUST get it working by the weekend. Have you had any success after this post?

Any ideas on this? I'm seeing the same thing on a Feather M0, also on an UNO, so I don't think it's M0 specific

Sorry for missing this thread. I tested this and saw something similar. Issue has been opened here:

There is this one gotcha to watch out for when using this library:
https://learn.adafruit.com/1-5-and-2-4- ... -size-4-13

But, wow, that library is in serious need of some TLC. It is essentially broken right now for the 128x32 display. I changed the issue I created to reflect that.

Please try the 1.0.3 version of the library when it becomes available:

I have this same issue, except when I started off, my display was showing a mirror image,
after a lot of searching I found that I could fix that by changing the segment map in the library
replaced #define SSD1305_SEGREMAP 0xA0
with #define SSD1305_SEGREMAP 0xA1
since then I have read all the data sheets and tried everything I can think of but still cannot figure it out,
I have a 128x32 running off a feather 32u4. using SPI

I am using the display for text and sensor data, I have to leave a space before every line to see the 1st character of that line.
Sometimes some pixels appear in that area not working which forces me to remap back to A0 to clear that area of the screen and again to normal which is quite annoying!
