Hello to everyone,
I am setting up some kind of artificial LED sun for plant to grow indoor. According to literature, the peaks of light absorption of chlorophyll are around 430 nano meters and 660 nm for chlorophyll "a"; 450 nm and 640 nm for chlorophyll "b".
The light needed is obtained with blue-violet and red-orange LED, however these peaks are quite narrow, thus it becomes important to know what is the exact wavelength peak of LED (and possibly the spectrum). Any idea where I can find this information on the LED by Adafruit ? I am particulary interested in the wavelength of NeoPixels, since I plan to use them for lighting them in a sequence pattern to simulate a dawn-dusk cycle.. but I need my plants to be able to absorb the light!

The datasheet we have does not specify the wavelength.

It's the same part number but I don't know how close manufacturers stay from company to company. It's probably close.

Another customer posted his tests. It was a while ago, but maybe NeoPixels haven't changed too much. Hope this helps.

Oh, that's a very nice and informative graph! From what I see, It seems the peaks of neopixels are too far from the wavelength I need (I mean.. not me, the plants). I should look for LEDs with the desired frequency, and use shift registers in place of neopixel technology, then. Sad! (cit.)
Thank you both for the quick answers!

You could get these and create your own neopixels.
