Connectors for flexible LED neon strip?

by rattlebrain on Sun Jul 28, 2019 8:22 pm

Has anyone found connectors that can be inserted into the flexible LED neon tubing? I am trying to make a sign with letters using this stuff, but have not successfully managed to solder wires directly to the tiny copper pads inside the tube. I've found multiple videos for connecting neon tubing that looks almost identical to the Adafruit product but which seems to have a bus bar inside and tiny holes into which you can insert a 2-prong metal connector that would obviously be much easier to solder to. These are products sold in Great Britain and Australia, and they look the same on the outside. I've tried using some spare parts I have on hand, but they don't fit securely and I would need to glue them on or something.

Similar question, are there any viable options for connectors for the RGB LED flexible neon product? I need to use 30M for a project and I don't have the time or manpower to solder 30 1M lengths together for this project.
