mask product Id 4343

by jimk123 on Sat Aug 17, 2019 3:26 pm

Just bought this but when I powered it up the two displays only show lines of text and there are no “eyes” I could not find any links in the product description, do I need to download code from somewhere or is this supposed to power up and show the eyes that are shown on the product description?

Btw tried to include the word monstxx in the subject but is says it is a banned word :(

Thanks

I have the 4343 Mask but there are no drivers. I am on windows 7 pro x64 in the device drivers section (depending on mode) I get device driver not found 'Hallowing Mask M4' or device driver not found 'Adafruit Monst3r Mask'. I have installed the device drivers 2.3.4.0. Because there is no device driver loaded I do not get the com port so I cannot use the Arduino IDE. I do get the flash drive to I can access the UF2. There is a text file in it which states the following
UF2 Bootloader v1.23.1-adafruit.1-210-g795abd2 SFHWRO
Model: Hallowing Mask M4
Board-ID: SAMD51G19A-Mask-v0

Are drivers that support the mask going to be out soon? Also the word Monst3r is banned so I had to put a '3' to replace the 'e'.
Thanks

oh yeah! you've got win 7 - we dont anymore (we're only using win10 for now) so please try installing this inf
https://github.com/ladyada/Adafruit_Win ... usbser.inf
you'll need to download that file and manually install until we can sign a new package (early next week)
please try it :)

Ok, I got it to work to get the comport. The UF2 mode I still am unable to install a driver for but since I was able to get the comport working. I should be able to get the arduino IDE to work.
Thanks.

Just as a followup to the above conversation, and to bump the date for anybody else having this problem:

Yay - issue fixed!

I use Win 7 x64 also, and also was flummoxed by not being able to use the Arduino IDE.
The .inf file linked by Lady Ada installed fine and fixed the issue for me.

Woohoo!!
