NeoPixel Ring 24 Eagle CAD part

by pjlaskey on Mon Sep 30, 2019 1:59 pm

Has anyone created an Eagle part for the NeoPixel ring 24? I have the provided BRD and SCH files but these are a bit more complex to integrate into a schematic and board. The reference files refer to NeoPixel library but I cannot locate it. Having this device as an Eagle part would be very helpful!

I have done this. It is a tremendous amount of work and the results are not very good. I was hoping there was a pre-made Eagle 'part' for this product, rather than a brd/sch document. It seems odd to me that there is no such thing. Oh well, thank you for the reply.

Yah, not really. What you are after doesn't get created as an automatic by-product of the main board/schematic creation. So you'd either have to go through that linked process or some other hand creation process.

Right. Which is totally do-able. I was just hoping that someone (*cough* Adafruit) had already done it as has been done for other parts. I'm either being lazy or I am viewing the NeoPixel Ring as a "part" while the rest of the world is thinking if it as a "board". Now that I know this has not already been done, I will take on the DIY :-)
