HDMI input into QUALIA driver

by aerosdle on Wed Oct 09, 2019 8:25 am

Hello,

I have the ADAFRUIT QUALIA 9.7" DISPLAYPORT MONITOR - 2048X1536 RESOLUTION

https://www.adafruit.com/product/1652

I need to display a HDMI input in the monitor so i'm using an adapter HDMI to DisplayPort. When all is connected I turn on the Qualia driver board and the monitor shows a reactangle but there is no image on it. I'm trying to display just the image of my computer, but i've tried with a raspberry pi 3 too. Anyway, i can't see any image on the monitor.

I've used two different adapters from HDMI to DP and the result is always the same.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? HDMI should work as long as is digital video transmission as the Display Port, so adapters shouldn't be a problem...Am I right?

Any help would be usefull, thank you in advance

Hello aerosdle,

I see in the description for the Qualia 9.7" product you have that HDMI cannot be used and it must be a DisplayPort connection.

A motherboard DisplayPort is required for this monitor, and you cannot plug this into an HDMI port. If you need an HDMI display, check out our HDMI offerings.

Anyway,

I need to show analog video in the monitor. I was using a converter from analog to HDMI and then HDMI to DP but seems not to be working.
Maybe you have any suitable solution for this?
