How to use adafruit individual neopixels on smd board

by ashepin on Thu Nov 21, 2019 11:02 pm

hi, I want to use the adafruit neopixel individual chips on a PCB I'm making, there are four pins, Ground,Din, Dout and VCC. However when I look at the strips of these LEDs, I see a resistor on each one, what is the value of this resistor and where does it go, thanks so much - Andrew

product I'm talking about: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3484?g ... f7EALw_wcB

Those are noise suppression capacitors between power and ground. They're labelled 1 microfarad on the schematic.

There is one resistor (in series) on the Din to the board that's marked 70 ohm.
