What do I need to get 128x32 OLED display working

by vnovytskyy on Fri Dec 20, 2019 12:06 am

Hello,

I need to make a small oscilloscope that uses a 128x32 OLED (https://learn.adafruit.com/2-3-monochro ... e/overview) following instructions in https://hackaday.io/project/14414-make- ... ia-arduino.

I have Arduino Uno like in that picture, but your display says it needs 512K memory, and Uno is supposed to have 1K? I don't really know how to tell. The person on hackaday seems to have used Uno - is that what you recommend for use with this display, if I want to be able to implement that project using C code and price is not an issue?

Thank you!

The OLED needs 512 bytes of RAM to hold the screen buffer: one bit for every pixel in a 128x32 display.

The Arduino Uno has enough memory to do that.

Oh, it was bytes! Thanks for answering this embarrassing question :)
