Pi 3.2" Screen

by tarnis on Sun Aug 09, 2020 1:04 pm

Hey all,

I think I'm seeing the heart of my problems now through a little trial and error...although I'm not understanding it. Either I have a board that was jacked up somewhere or the wiring is just different then I thought it would be.

My buttons seem to work OK when I plug things into the Raspberry pi header, however when I connect a ribbon cable into the 3.2" lcd things move around some.

The blue wire is the ground here, Orange and white are 14 and 15...according o a pi 4 diagram, 14 and 15 should be one above the other not next to each other. How do I know what the other pins are? I was looking to hook up battery power to the pi, and don't want to blow anything up in the process because I chose the wrong pin.

Regards,
Matt

Ribbon cables should just map pin-to-pin. But be careful with confusion about swapping rows. See the diagrams at the top of this page:
