Pinout diagram for neopixel side-lights?

by lambtor on Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:55 am

Does a pinout diagram exist for the 4x2mm side lights?

I'm trying to figure out how I'd want to solder these to chain them to a breadboard friendly neopixel.

We do sell a number of breadboard friendly Neopixels including thru-hole mounted shapes.

However, if you are really into the Side-Light model you could solder some solid core wire to the leads and get the on a breadboard. I've always made custom breakout PCBs when working with unusual SMT components.

Ok. I'm worried about frying an LED in testing if I connect voltage to the wrong pin, but I guess they're cheap enough to allow acceptable tactical losses. Would it be possible to power the 4x2 sidelight with 3.3v, or would I need to buy them and physically test that as well?
