PiTFT white screen with jumper

by 55thSwiss on Sun Sep 06, 2020 9:03 am

Hi all,

As the title suggests, when connecting the 2.8" PiTFT with jumper wires the screen is white. If it's just mounted ontop of the Pi without jumpers everything works great. Per the description
This design uses the hardware SPI pins (SCK, MOSI, MISO, CE0, CE1) as well as GPIO #25 and #24. All other GPIO are unused.
that's all I should need (and additionally v5 and gnd of course). It seems the screen isn't initializing. I've tried redoing the jumpers several times (with reboots between). Any ideas why this isn't working? Also, sorry new to the Pi, pinout.xyz lists the SPI pin as SCLK, not SCK as in the description from Adafruit, but I think this is the same thing? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
