With some help, I was able to get the original Star Trek game running on my Arduino based handheld.

If you have a Teensy. There is an example version that runs on serial monitor on my GitHub : https://github.com/leftCoast/starTrekArduino

I used to play this in the early '70s running on an HP2000 mainframe. My friends and I found it, rooting around in the Hewlett Packard library listings when I was supposed to be doing computer generated math problems. Good times!

If that's not a blog-worthy share, I'll turn in my show-and-tell stickers.
Our HP2000 didn't have this. We made do with Wumpus and Bagels. Nice revival.

Hallelujah!

We had no idea the program was in there. We were elementary school kids hacking away on the teletype in my Dad's home office. It had an audio phone modem hooked to some HP server. One of the kids knew how to get listings of runnable programs, so we were going through everything we could find in there. I remember the game was under the program listing "whitey". When that came up, we know we'd found gold!
