910 Display Module Interlace Problems

by keischin on Tue Nov 17, 2020 4:26 pm

Previously we ordered Qty. 11 of the 910 display modules, Order ID 2362990-7866704127, on 9/12/2020. Of those, there appear to be Qty.6 that show interlace problems. Attached are images showing a good display with our test pattern and a bad display.

We have also noticed that of these bad display modules appear to have capacitors missing on the control board, as shown in the attached photo.

We have previously purchased 25 of these displays over the last year, and have not seen this problem before.

Also, it appears that displays that have a silver backing with a part number beginning with “GE0…” have a much better viewing angle range than the displays that have a white backing with a 450... part number on the edge of the display. None of the silver backed displays have had interlace problems.

Would it be possible to give us an RMA to return the 6 faulty display modules and send us good replacements, preferably with the silver backing? We have already modified the cables for our product so we would not need the cables replaced, only the display modules. Thank you!
