Circuit Check

by laurieann on Mon May 10, 2021 9:16 am

Hey everyone! This is my first project using LED strips. I need to know which circuit to use and if these are correct please. I want strips A, B, and C to be doing the same thing and D and E to be doing the same thing. Should I wire and program each strip individually? Can I wire the data in the same line and program individually? Thanks for your help!

If you want 2 or more strips to behave exactly the same, you can just wire them all to the same signal pin and program them as a single strip.

Most microcontrollers can handle a fan-out load of 2 or 3 strips on a pin. Beyond that you might need some extra buffering.
