Question on SD Card on Adafruit 3.2" Color TFT Touchscreen

Hello Adapeople! I have a tiny question for you

I was wondering if I could use the SD card reader by wiring it to a SPI line on my stm32 nucleo board while driving, with the same setup, the LCD by using the 8-bit line mode.
This question comes from reading:

Referred to Spi Mode: ....It also allows using a microSD card socket on the same SPI bus.

I wanted to make sure I could use the sd card regardless on how I handled the monitor (SPI or 8-bit line).
