PMW with TLC59711.
Has anyone controlled something like a Pico Buck with a TLC59711? I understand that I need to put a pull-up resistor on the output pins of the TLC59711. Does this mean just attaching something like a 10k resistor between the output pin and a 5v supply and then attaching the output on the TLC to the PWM input on the Pico Buck? Sorry if my language is clunky as this is all a bit new to me.

Hmm.. interesting question.
Looking at the Pico Buck's schematic and the AL8805W5 buck converter's datasheet, it looks like the CTRL input can be driven from an open-drain control pin. The TLC59711 has open-drain outputs, so it might work with a direct connection.

I've tried connecting it directly and it seems to either set the picobuck on or off: there's no in-between.

The TLC59711 uses PWM to control LEDs, so that shouldn't be any trouble.
