Wiring length between 2.3" OLED and M4 Express

by Gixxerfool on Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:31 pm

I am using a 2.3" OLED 128x32 display with a Feather M4 Express and due to space constraints will need to mount them apart. I am wondering what the maximum distance possible between the two using 26 gauge wire.

Thanks

Are you talking about feet or inches? Probably 12" if it is properly connected and not susceptible to any radiation. Your project may be different.

Inches. It is for a car boost gauge I made. Where I am mounting the display is about big enough for the display itself but not the microcontroller. There won't be any radiation exposure, so that isn't a concern. Do you know if there are any electrical noise concerns I should be aware of?

Thanks

Not that I'm aware of but cars are always noisy just the same. I'd keep the jumpers as short as practical.
