Faulty E-Ink Display?

by jpBane on Wed Jun 23, 2021 6:40 am

Dear customer support team,

I recently purchased an adafruit 2.13" Monochrome E-Ink Bonnet for Raspberry Pi via thepihut.com.

To perform a first test, I used the https://learn.adafruit.com/raspberry-pi-e-ink-weather-station-using-python project.

Unfortunately, it seems that the display does not work properly since a couple of lines just show random noise and a part of the output is cut off. If I rotate the output by 180 degrees adjusting the "display.rotation" command in the python script, the random noise is still at the same spot.

Is this because of a faulty display or am I doing anything wrong?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
jpBane
