Where can I get a sheet of the light-diffusing acrylic used in the White LED Backlight Module?
https://www.adafruit.com/product/1621
I like what I see in that module but I need custom sizes to light up different game pieces (think tetris). Can I buy any old led monitor from Goodwill and open it up and find one of these sheets in it?
Thank you,
Steve

Re: White light diffusing acrylic sheet
You can purchase 'opal' acrylic from any plastic supplier. But the stuff used in LCD display backlights seems to diffuse the light more effectively.
An old LCD monitor (not LED) should have similar backlight material behind it. These are typically lit by a strip of LEDs along one or more edges.
