Hi,
I recently bought a 64x64 LED matrix and set it up today. There are blocks of LEDs that do not turn on. It seems that the IDC cable that came with the matrix is faulty. When I press on the cable, the LED lights turn on - although they flicker. So, I believe it isn't the matrix/LEDs itself that is the issue. See pictures below:

Is there something I'm doing wrong, is the matrix faulty or is the IDC needing replacing?

How are you driving the matrix?

Re: LED MATRIX blocks of no light
Hey. The matrix setup is a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and RBG Matrix HAT. I followed this guide for soldering, wire/connection setup, and downloading the software on the Pi: https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-rgb ... spberry-pi
Using a 5V 4A wall power supply for the HAT and an official Raspberry Pi micro USB wall supply for the Pi.
I ran: sudo ./demo -D0 --led-rows=64 --led-cols=64 --led-slowdown-gpio=3 when the Pi booted.

Thanks. That all seems fine. It could be a connection issue with the HAT. Please post photos of both sides of the HAT so we can take a look.

Hey! Turned out to be a soldering issue. Got a soldering expert to fix the faulty ones and now it works perfectly :)

Cool! The HAT version does have a lot of soldering required, unfortunately. Glad that was it and you were able to remedy. Have fun!
