Hello,
I had bought a Adafruit 0.56" 4-Digit 7-Segment Display w/I2C Backpack - Green, part number 880 and the second digit is not working properly.
Connections are ok and the sketch used is from Adafruit LED backpack library with no changes.
I tested the code + wires etc with an other display and everything works as it should.
Please see attached files for more.

My first step would be to go over all the soldering you did ... just touching the iron to them to remelt/reflow the solder. In my experience that will often do the job.
