I have a very narrow channel to mount a series of LED's. The Ultra Skinny Neopixles at 4MM wide will fit, but I need to cut them into lengths of 40MM. The Adafruit website states that " You can cut this stuff pretty easily with wire cutters, there are cut-lines every 7mm / 0.27" (1 LED each).". However, the data sheet notes that "signal in series transmission each unit LED can be cut down but not able to solder again in 500mm section"
I need to solder eight separate 40mm sections into a matrix. Thus can I cut the ultra skinny's and solder every 6 LEDs or do I need to use something like the Side Light NeoPixel LED PCB Bar and cut this down?
Note: The NeoPixel Stick is to wide for my application and I don't have the ability to surface solder individual NeoPixels.
Thank you.
