PiTFT 2.8 inch Capacitive - White screen?

Hello, I recently received a PiTFT display I had intended to use with a cyberdeck & Pi 400 setup. I found and followed the instructions at https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... -install-2

Unfortunately, I am only getting a white screen. I have tried this with the Pi 400 + cyberdeck, then directly on a Pi 4, with a couple of different recommended Raspbian builds - all to no avail.

Is this definitely faulty? Is there something else I should be doing?

We can swap out the display if it does not look like a configuration issue.

Did you using the Pi OS Lite 2021-05-28 (recommended build)?

When running the installer script have you tried:

 sudo python3 adafruit-pitft.py --display=28c --rotation=90 --install-type=console

Which would be a good test to see if your model display can get into a usable console mode.
