36mm 100x4 LED pixel array

by anstone on Mon Apr 02, 2012 3:17 pm

Here is my 10x10 36mm pixel array. Works with Adavision, all example sketches, and after a little tinkering Pixel Controller software from neophob (https://github.com/neophob/PixelController). Here are a few pictures of the build and a video of the array in action playing a sample music video with Adavision (PixelController demo video to come). Cheers!

Hey!
I'm working on an extremely similar project right now, but with an 8x8 grid... What did you do to get pixel controller working? I'm having difficulty getting the ws2801 library to work in place of the LPD4somethingorother library.
thanks :)

You have to edit the configuration file in the pixel controller directory for the right size array and adavision...its commented in there really well as to which lines to change. After you get all the correct lines changed (commented/uncommented mainly) you launch the pixel controller GUI and then launch the console file as administrator and then BAM! I'll have to look at it tomorrow to give you more details and some screenshots, but hopefully that gets you started. Good luck!!

Oh, and you just run the ledstream code from adavision on the arduino in the background to open up comms from the PC to the arduino!!!
