Backpack driver board for 32x16 matrix panel

by nootropicdesign on Mon Jul 16, 2012 11:28 am

I have an Adafruit 32x16 RGB LED matrix panel and just wanted to show off the nice Arduino "backpack" board I made to drive the panel. Instead of hooking up a wiring ratsnest between an Arduino and the panel, this handy little board snaps right onto the back of the panel. Check out the project:

Maybe this could get blogged on the Adafruit blog?

Nifty! Nice build

Do you think you could chain these to drive multiple displays?

"The video doesn’t do them justice because it’s really hard to capture bright LEDs on video."

I feel your pain. :D

Really slick project!
