Hello !

i'm a very satisfied user of Ambibox, but i've one issue : the web control.
I activated it, but when i go on my ip:port , it tells me "Error 404: Not Found , File not found" . Do you have any idea ?

THanks !

Anthony

Hey there,

I am using Ambibox for quite a while now and its working just perfectly!
My setup consists of a windows maschine running ambibox. This is connected to an Arduino Nano with a strand of 50 12mm LEDs with WS2811 controller. For the sketch i am using the newest FastLED library. If any one is interested, here is the code: http://pastebin.com/PjTAnKe0 (Baudrate is raised to 500000)

Now to my question:
I just got a Amazon Fire TV on which I installed Kodi with the Ambibox plugin, so Kodi can talk with the Ambibox API Server on my windows maschine. But for that, my power hungry pc alsways has to run, which isnt really necassary i think.

Wouldnt it be possible to create an API-Server for a Raspberry Pi (or something similiar)? So any device which wants to use the Ambilight could talk to the raspberry over the API-Interface. Even the Windows-Client?

Please tell me what you guys think! Thanks!

Hi there all,

I'm pulling my hear out trying to get my setup working. I have an ambilight setup consisting of an Arduino Uno and using WS2801 LED strips giving me 63 LEDS total to use. The Uno is loaded with with the Adalight LEDSREAM.pde code...

I'm trying to use Ambibox as this seems to be the only solution to work with Windows 8/Windows 8.1 from what I've been reading on the net.

Test PC:
I have a laptop running windows 8.1 with nvidia graphics and this works fine and spot on! I just used this for testing and is not my HTPC.

HTPC:
However I have an Acer Revo RL70 with AMD graphics and I can't for the life of me get this working. I plug in the usb and it does the normal startup fine and shows the three primary colours as normal.

Firstly it doesn't always see the Uno connected - I have to plug and unplug a few times and then it sees it - but works each time fine on the laptop test PC.
I thought USB but then have tried all ports and the same issue and other USB devices work fine?

When it does get detected and connected, no matter what I configure in Ambibox, it never shows all the LEDs lit - only a few up the side and 2 along the top - yet on my Laptop PC it works fine each and everytime!?

Is this an issue with AMD? Or the specs of the PC perhaps not enough?

I just don't get it. I have uninstalled the Uno entirely and installed new drivers from scratch and just can't get this working :(

Please help or advise on some other things to perhaps try?

Thank you!

I am an artist who wants to use my artwork for wearable art. I need a simple (non-tech) method to fade from one color to another and back - (red to green and back to red) or (red to blue and back to red) at will and set up a pattern with the sewable Adafruit colored RGB LED lights. Will this do that?

Please get back to me right away. Do you have a phone number so that I can talk to a human being at Adafruit? I am technolame.

I need help

Hey demmax2004.
Is it possible to create a plugin which changes brightness setting automatically according to sound loudness in the background?
Also, with cooperation with Kodi stream to Ambibox. Thanks.

My WS2812B LEDs freeze (color does not change anymore) randomly while running AmbiBox.

I have to restart Ambibox to get them working again.
I'm using Windows 10 with Ambibox 2.1.7.
While the LEDs are freezed, my Arduino is still receiving data from AmbiBox.

I tried Prismatik and there wasn't a problem with it, besides that it's just way way slower than AmbiBox.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Hey guys,
I know this topic is already pretty old, but there are still users using it :)
Can anybody send me the version of ambibox that supports more than 300 zones?
That would be so great!
