I am using the code from the example file:
display.begin(SSD1306_SWITCHCAPVCC, 0x3C); // initialize with the I2C addr 0x3C (for the 128x32),which made me look at the Adafruit_SSD1306.h file and it was set to 128x32. made the change 128x64 and all good now.
