having problems with my Hdmi4pi 7" backpack lcd I recently purchased from Pakronics (Australia)
I have a large blank section of screen (black) on the right side (vertical from right edge to 40mm in from edge) and no changes to config affect it.
I have tried hdmi safe mode, force screen size to 800 X 480 and other things. To be honest i feel it may be faulty (i know, everyone says that) but there is a white vertical line 40mm from the right. This line appears when powered up with no signal.
Thanks,
Graham.
Sorry i don't have an image account. I can email you a picture if you want.

Have you tried the recommended config.txt shown in here? Find the section for your product ID:

Hello, I have tried the recommended settings here https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-5-8 ... -pi-config ,as backpacks are not covered in the uber guide. Nothing I changed in config has made any difference to the screen image at all.
I have a laptop with a hdmi socket so I will see if it is an output and try using it. It should auto-detect so I may be able to test my screen that way.
Thanks,
Graham
Edit. No image using laptop hdmi. Although that could be just my laptop not compatible. It says "hdmi output is only useful when connected to TV with supports hdmi through the hdmi cable"
