Playground Express with motors

by abrown on Fri Mar 02, 2018 9:54 am

I have been using the Playground Classic board instead of the Arduino Uno board with my high school students to work through the "Arduino Lesson 0-15" (https://learn.adafruit.com/series/learn-arduino) using the Arduino C langauge.

Next year, I will be teaching a Python programming class before we start working with circuit board, so I was hoping to do the same kind of lessons with the Playground Classic but in the PythonCircuit language as a better transition with the students. Does anyone know if the PythonCircuit library includes the ability to interact with servo, step, DC, motors, LEDs, and LCD screens??

I appreciate your help!
Amy

Sorry to say, but the Circuit Playground Classic is not powerful enough to run CircuitPython. The Circuit Playground Express can.

Have you looked at the code.org tutorials for CP Classic? They use a blocks-style programming system and a tethered CP Classic. https://code.org/circuitplayground
