Hello from Colorado! Our STEM group is preparing for the mid Oct. grazing lunar occultation which requires us to be in an area with no internet or cellphone coverage in order to be able to observe the event. Which of your products do you recommend for a simple and low cost system to receive time data from GPS and feed that into a windows based laptop?
We are planning to feed the GPS time data into the computer by Ethernet RJ-45 (or USB) so the computer would see the signal as a standard time signal from the net or other source. Our camera and image processing software work smoothly with D4 from thinking man software and frequent updating from the atomic clocks in Boulder or Colorado Springs, CO. Unfortunately, our observation site is about 40 miles out in a very nice field with lots of recently harvested something.

The GPS breakout and a small micro like the Trinket Pro or Feather will get the data to the computer as a string. It would then be up to the computer to take that data and convert it to whatever it needs internally.
