Using Ras Pi to control VEX robot

Post by johnmnz »

I have an old VEX Clawbot I wold like to control with a Ras Pi. That means driving 2 x DC motors and 3 x servos. I see that there are HATs for controlling those motors but can't see any mention of whether I can stack the DC motor HAT and the servo HAT. Can anyone tell me if that's possible, please?

Yes, it is possible to stack these. Note that the motor HAT can drive motors up to 1.2A continuous. Make sure that your motors do not exceed that current level with the power source you plan to use.

Thanks for the info - I'll give it a crack. I'll start with some small motors I've used with Arduino bots before unleashing the beefier Vex motors.
