Physical logic gates for middle school

Post by mkantor »

I am trying to find (if possible) or make (if necessary) a set of logic gates that can be laid out on a table and connected with jumpers to construct a circuit. The idea is to construct a real physical circuit that mirrors a circuit diagram, the way the Elenco Snap Circuits components do. Snap Circuits do not, as far as I can tell, include logic gates.

Do such components exist? Or can anyone refer me to a proven design for constructing such a thing?

Little Bits has logic gates https://littlebits.com/lessons/introduction-to-logic . I refuse to use Little Bits in my classes because of the outrageous prices they charge but it is an option.
