License for J-link mini edu

by apdobaj on Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:47 pm

How do I get a license file/number for a Segger J-Link mini EDU that I just purchased through Adafruit? The Segger J-Flash software is asking for one.

JFlash is a separately licensed piece of software. A license is not included with the J-Link Mini Edu, nor, for that matter, with the other J-Links we sell.

However, you don't need it for flashing. The regular J-Link software package (https://www.segger.com/downloads/jlink/) comes with JFlashLite, which is fine for simple flashing. Atmel Studio and gdb can also use the J-Link to do flashing.

Does this help? Let us know more details of what you want to do if it's still not clear.
