Servo Motors

by swanks on Wed Jul 15, 2020 1:55 pm

I'm looking to replace some servo motors for my Innovators and Makers Kits. Can you tell me how to distinguish between Standard and Continuous when ordering these, I've looked and they all look the same. Any help is appreciated.

"Standard" refers to the size. We carry Standard, Micro and Submicro servos. You will need to measure the servos in your kits to find a fit. Although the mounting flange dimensions are pretty consistent, there is often some variation in height, so not all servos in a given size classification are 100% interchangeable.

Continuous rotation 'servos' are not really servos, because they have no feedback. They are only called 'servos' because they are packaged in an RC servo case.

Continuous rotation servos in our store are clearly described as such.

Unless specifically identified as "Continuous Rotation" all the servos in the store are common hobby RC servos and have about a 180 degree range of motion.
