The assembly looks fine. Measure the voltage between the GND and VIN pins on the shield.

Have you tried powering from USB as described here? viewtopic.php?f=48&t=172215#p842252

The dropout voltage for the regulator on the M0 can easily exceed 1v under load.

it doesn't light up any led using that method.

What voltage do you see at the panel when powered via USB?

OK. It looks like everything is assembled and connected right and you have good power. That leaves the matrix itself. We can try replacing it. Please contact [email protected] with a link to this thread.
