Adafruit, could you please make a variation of this board:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/1833
It would be great if it is made for breadboard use: GND and 5V around the corner, in a L-shape layout so these feed the voltage rail, maybe on 2 sides for sturdiness. And the 3 data lines on a position for the regular connector-lines. It will be very practical in our classroom, and sturdier than the 1-row layouts.
Maybe even dual-port: micro+C-type, or in both flavours.
If the distance between the data and voltage pins is enough, you might even be able to use it on either side of your breadboard with 2 voltage pins sticking out to save space, or to supply split power rails in one go (some boards have a break in the power line in the middle).
I made a sketch with Pico-8, no paint on this Mac....

You can check out making your own one. You would need to design a PCB, but they are insanely cheap these days to get manufactured.
Here's a good guide on how to do it:

Assembling it should be relatively easy, the hardest part is the usb connector.
I use JLCPCB for my cheap boards, (Literally $5 for a giant board, takes some time to get from china)
Or I use OSH park when I need something a little better quality.
With a little work, and a few weeks waiting for snail mail, you can have a couple custom boards for about $20
