Powering Crickit

Post by mrmularella »

I already posted this in a different forum, but figured I'd post here too since I'm a teacher who is doing this with my students. Based on the Crickit documentation on the Adafruit website, purchased 4 AA battery holders with the intention of using 4 NiMH batteries to power our autonomous rovers. It works find when I try to power just one of the TT motors but whenever I try to move two motors, it trips the circuit and I get the red warning LED. I have read numerous posts on this forum that also said this should work just fine.

I don't have money to buy a PowerBoost or anything else. Is there a solution where I can get this to work with just 4 NiMH batteries considering that's what Adafruit recommended?

Thank you,
Jeremy

What are the motors you are trying to use? Can you post the specs?

I'm using these Tenergy batteries that I bought on Amazon. I plan to pick up some Eneloop batteries as well to see if there's a difference.
